Apply for a payroll tax reduction on one income
With the payroll tax reduction, you have more money left over every month. Be sure to apply for the payroll tax reduction for one income, otherwise you will receive too much reduction and you will be required to pay this back later. On your statement, you can see if we have applied the payroll tax reduction.
If anything changes in your income, it is wise to find out where you can apply for the payroll tax reduction.
- If you have another income, check to see which option is most favourable for you.
- If you have a partner with an own income, your partner is also entitled to the payroll tax reduction.
- Where you can best apply the payroll tax reduction depends on the amount of your pension. For more information, please visit the SVB website.

We deduct the Healthcare Insurance Act contribution
In the Netherlands, everyone has healthcare insurance. Your healthcare insurance contribution consists of two parts:
- The contribution you pay to your health insurance company.
- The income-related Healthcare Insurance Act (Zvw) contribution that we deduct from your pension.
In 2024, the Healthcare Insurance Act (Zvw) contribution is 5.32% of your gross annual income. This year, you pay a maximum of €317.55 per month. If your gross salary is higher than €71,628 we will not deduct anything over the higher amount. You can see how much we deduct on your pension statement.
