“But what does this mean for me, after taxes?”

My standard answer to this question is that I always have to start with a gross amount. Only then can I paint a good picture of the bottom line of a pension calculation and give clarity about your pension after taxes on your desired retirement date. It is good to know, for instance, that there will always be a slight difference in the end. This is mainly due to the fact that the government adjusts the tax rates annually. As a result, pensions (and AOW) will produce a slightly different amount after taxes every year.
